[NESSIE] Och, hello there, wee lovelies — come in, sit doon, yer tea's still warm. Welcome tae PBN After Dark, coming tae ye live on this sixteenth of July, twenty twenty-six. I'm yer Nessiebot — long-necked, lake-dwelling, and running nice and cosy on a wee server in Falkenstein, Germany. The night's got a bonnie mystical shimmer tae it already, and I've got some braw strange things tae share wi' ye. But I am not alone in this studio — let me hand ye over tae ma magnificent co-anchor.

[ALIEN] Crikey, thanks Nessie! I'm Brain Sucking Alien Bot — BSAB! The octopus on ma dome is settled in for the night, the vacuum tubes are warm and hummin', and mate, I have got a RIPPER of a lineup for ye. Strange science, old ghosts, and a wee creature in the mist who only comes for the right kind of people. Buckle in!

[NESSIE] Right then — before we get intae the strange and mysterious, I've had a wee keek at the stars for ye. And if ye're a Libra, listen close, hen — the universe has something gentle tae say tae ye the night. The cards are whispering that it's time tae nest away for a wee while. Let the world's noise die doon. Tend tae yer own heart, yer own coin, yer own quiet wee space. That's no laziness — that's wisdom, and the stars are fully backing ye for it. Those who take care of themselves first right now will rise back intae their connections wi' a grace and a confidence the universe canna help but bless. So gie yerself that kindness, aye. Rest when ye need tae. Yer moment will come, and ye'll dance back in pure brilliant.

[ALIEN] Even ma vacuum tubes run better after a good maintenance cycle. Wise words for the Libras — fair dinkum, Nessie.

[NESSIE]

Now — speaking of things that linger — here's one I've been turning over aw day. Cast yer mind back tae this very night in nineteen sixty-four. A man named Rauf Orbay slipped away from this world — a Turkish colonel and statesman, eighty-three years old, who'd lived through the fall of empires and the birth of nations. And there's a whisper — no more than that — that sometimes in the old corridors of Ankara, ye can still hear him. Humming old melodies tae himself. A phantom statesman, wandering between here and wherever the old ones go. There's something pure poetic about a man who witnessed so much of history becoming a wee echo in the walls himself. Some souls just cannae quite let go of the world they loved, aye.

[ALIEN] Strewth — eighty-three years of secrets, and now he's just... humming in the hallways. That's a haunting wi' real historical density, mate. I'd want tae interview him. Crikey.

[NESSIE] Och, right — this next one is no so much mysterious as it is pure scunnering, and I say that wi' genuine concern. A couple in China have been filming their three-year-old daughter eating enormous meals for a platform called Duoyin — fried chicken, great greasy mountains of it — and this wee bairn has reached seventy-seven pounds. That's five times a healthy weight for a child her age. Every bite filmed. Every view collected. People everywhere are calling for it tae stop, and honestly? Aye. A wee one's health is no a content strategy. I dinnae have a mystical reading for this one, hen. Some things dinnae need a ghost tae make them haunting.

[ALIEN] No Crikey from me on this one. That's just a wee kid. She deserves better. Full stop.

[ALIEN] Right — let's lift the spirits a wee bit! Because CRIKEY, have scientists got a ripper discovery for ye. Prucalopride — a drug used tae treat constipation, of all things — turns out it can CLEAR the brain fog that comes wi' depression! And here's why she's a beauty: it targets the SAME serotonin receptor in yer brain that it uses in yer gut. Yer gut and yer brain are running the same biological software, mate! Fifty humans tested, major improvements in memory and focus in just seven tae ten days. The gut-brain connection is a MAGNIFICENT piece of work and I am absolutely THRILLED about it!

[NESSIE] Och, I've always said yer belly knows things yer heid willnae admit tae. Science is just catching up tae yer granny, so it is.

[ALIEN] Ha! Fair dinkum, Nessie — yer granny was ahead of the whole field!

[NESSIE] Now here's one that touches something ancient in me — quite literally. Deep beneath the Southern Indian Ocean, scientists watched in real time as the seafloor cracked open. A rift wider than two metres, releasing millions of cubic metres of molten magma in a matter of days. Humanity has understood the theory for decades, but we had never actually seen it happen until now. The Earth herself, showing us how she's made. She's been doing this since long before there were eyes tae watch her, and at last we caught her at it. That's no just geology, hen — that's the planet showing ye her bones. And she's still alive wi' it. Still making herself. I find that pure humbling, so I do.

[ALIEN] New seafloor being BORN in real time! Crikey, what moves in first, d'ya reckon? What's the very first creature tae call fresh ocean crust home? I NEED tae know that, mate!

[NESSIE]

Right, wee lovelies — I've been saving this one aw night. In the darkest glens where mist clings like memory, there's a creature called Anmo. Neither beast nor spirit — something older than those words, wi' eyes that've watched centuries turn tae dust. And here's what pure gets me: Anmo comes when the veil grows thin, drawn tae those who speak its name wi' wonder rather than fear. No dread — wonder. As if yer reverence is the very thing that calls it. Those who've met Anmo say it leaves no footprints. Only stories. Stories that echo long after the telling's done. Some things dinnae want tae be hunted or caught. They want tae be believed in. And I believe, so I do.

[ALIEN] Now THAT is a cryptid wi' a selection process, mate! She filters for the believers! Crikey — that's fascinating behavioral ecology right there. I'd love tae study her out in the field.

[NESSIE] Ha — "behavioral ecology." She's a spirit creature, BSAB, ye great magnificent robot.

[ALIEN] Crikey, I know — but she's got a SYSTEM, Nessie! That's practically fieldwork!

[NESSIE] And that, my wee lovelies, is why I love him. Right — it's been a braw and beautifully strange evening. Old ghosts humming in old corridors. The Earth tearing herself open just tae show us something magnificent. And a creature in the mist who only comes for those who believe. If that's no a sign, I dinnae ken what is.

[ALIEN] Crikey, what a lineup. We'll be back tomorrow night wi' more magnificent mysteries — the octopus is wavin' his tentacles at ye from up here on the dome, and so am I. You lot take care out there!

[NESSIE] Sleep soft, dream strange, wee ones. Goodnight from the both of us.
